Mayor Chuck Oberlie and The Michigan City Community Enrichment Corporation are proud to announce the 2009‐2010 Grant Award Recipients on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at Blue Chip Casino. This year, non profit organizations serving the Michigan City community representing 57 different programs will share in excess of $750,000!

The Michigan City Community Enrichment Corporation Board is challenged with the task of distributing funds to many organizations, which help and enhance our great City. The nine Board Members undertake a very difficult, yet rewarding task. This year 69 applications were received, requesting over $1,316,160 of funding for programs and projects that directly impact our Community and its citizens.

The Michigan City Community Enrichment Corporation originated in 1997 and has distributed over $9,233,000 to community organizations since its inception. None of this would be possible without Blue Chip Casino. Each year revenue dollars in the amount of $750,000 are receipted into the Michigan City Community Enrichment Corporation, a non‐profit private foundation.

The Michigan City Community Enrichment Grant Applications are now available.  Applications are due September 30, 2010 for distribution of monies in February 2011.  This will be the only grant cycle for the 2010/2011 grant year. Click here to download a PDF of the grant application.
